The Book Lovers’ Program for Schools (BLPS) was built to compliment the Indian schools’ curriculum and engage children in developing their reading skills. It was started in 2009 and has helped over 2Lac children in the last decade. This is the first time that BLPS is being made available to you, directly, at home!
Our storytellers introduce a new storybook from the curriculum each week and conduct readings and discuss the book with the children. We understand how valuable having the right company is for your child, especially at a time like this. A peer-community bolsters self-confidence and enhances the entire experience of reading.
Our goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment for children to express their views on the books they’ve read. These book club sessions also ensure that children learn to listen to their peers and engage with views that might be different from their own. This holistic approach will simultaneously improve their reading skills, comprehension, and expression which are all very valuable skills required in the 21st century.
By the end of the month-long program, your child will read the books in the program, and discuss the themes in the books with confidence and write their own comprehensive book reports expressing their thoughts.
